Terms and Conditions of the Competition

The Open International Creativity Competition for the Best Architectural and Artistic Solution of the Statuary
to Russian and Soviet Soldiers Fallen in Two World Wars (in Ljubljana).


1.1 It is a one-round competition.

1.2. Participation is allowed to certified architects, sculptors, artists, designers or students of corresponding specializations.

1.3 The participants receive:
- The competition program, its terms and conditions;
- The site layout plan, 1:1000;
- The historical background of Russian and Soviet soldiers’ participation in two World Wars in the Slovenian territory.

1.4. The participants present:
- The site layout plan, 1:1000, with the monument location (on electronic media);
- The general layout with options on integrated public services and amenities, 1:20-1:50 (depending on the design solution, on electronic media);
- The monument fronts, 1:10-1:20 (on electronic media);
- The monument sculpture model (h=50 cm, including the base) is shipped by the author at his/her own expense. Postal address: 10/2, Arkhangelskiy side street, Moscow, 101000, Russia. In case the monument sculpture model is sent by post (courier) the scanned copy of the postal receipt should be presented.
- The monument perspective drawing or composite photograph (on electronic media);
- The sketch-book (paper size А3) with explanatory notes, illustrations, visualizations, technical-and-economic indexes (on electronic media – 1 copy);
- The sketch-book illustrative materials (file format .jpeg, high 10-12, size - 100х150 mm, resolution 350 dpi) on electronic media; The identification list containing data on the competition participant/participants: full name (no more than 4 persons), qualification, honorary degrees, contact information (on electronic media).

1.5. Graphic design documents, size 140х100 cm, on electronic media.

1.6. The model is made of any material providing durability at transportation/shipping and exhibition.

1.7. The individual/team winner gains the right to further development and execution of the project in accordance with the Russian Federation legislation.

1.8. Producing the competitive project, the participant guarantees that it is his/her/their authoring team’s intellectual property item not belonging to any third parties.

2.1. Term of presenting competitive projects: 01.11.2015 – 10.12.2015.

2.2. Participants’ registration and receipt of initial materials is organized from 01.11.2015 to 10.12.2015 at:

2.3. Non-resident participants ensure submission of competitive projects within the same period of time.

2.4. The jury will announce the result of the competition on 24.12.2015.

2.5. The competitive projects will be exhibited from 19.12.2015 to 24.12.2015.

2.7. Non-winning projects will be kept for 10 days since the winning project announcement.

The competition organizer bears no responsibility for preservation of project materials not collected within the indicated period.
